Lunar Cycles is within easy reach of Camden, Tufnell Park, Chalk Farm, Hampstead and Holloway. If you live or work in these areas, then come and visit us!
Here are the six ways we believe our bike shop provides the best possible experience for the customer.
Best bike service in Camden
For cyclists who haven’t given their bike any maintenance attention over the past year or two – our bike service will be the perfect remedy for all problems. Over the course of time, bikes will gather a lot of dirt from all the road muck in London. This causes squeaks, damages components and slows you down.
Our £65 service will involve stripping down your bike to the frame, cleaning everything and then re-lubricating and putting everything back together again. If we spot any components that have been worn out, we can replace them with your permission.
We believe our service is one of the most thorough in London.
Watch us repair your bike
You can either head off down to the Camden Brewery, which is just down the corner from Lunar Cycles and grab yourself a drink, or if we are not too busy, you are welcome to sit down and watch your bike being repaired. Our open plan workshop is perfect for this.
This is great for someone who has interest in what happens when you hand over your bike for repair.
Free courtesy bike
If your bike repair will take us a few days to complete, we know you won’t want to be without a bike. We are happy to let you borrow one of our courtesy bikes, free of charge.
Helpful advice
We are happy to take the time to talk you through your bike and cycling needs. Therefore, if you’ve got any questions about what repairs are needed or what upgrades you’d like to make – feel free to throw the question out there and we can offer advice from our years of experience. Our bike shop sells all the accessories we thoroughly recommend. For example, we sell the Schwalbe London tyres which is what we use on our bikes for puncture free riding and we thoroughly recommend it to our customers.
Custom bike builds
Looking for something a little more special and customised to your needs? We have a long history in custom bike builds. This is perfect for those looking for a bike they’ll love to ride every day.
Hub gear repairs (This is one for the Brompton owners!)
We are one of the few bike shops in London that have the experience and knowledge to service hub gears. If that’s what your bike uses, then you are in safe hands when you visit our bike shop.
Whether you are in Camden, Hampstead, Holloway, Chalk Farm or Tufnell Park – come and visit our bike shop and we’ll be happy to take on any repairs you need, provide advice and offer our carefully selected range of bike accessories.

Hi Layla,
We don’t have any second hand bikes at the moment.
May well have some more in the next few months but none at the moment.

Hi
I have an lovely old frame that needs the seat tube replaced. Do you do that sort of repair?

Hi Louisa,
We would send the frame to our local framebuilder and he would carry out the repair.

Hi!
The frame of my pram broke in one spot.. Would they or you be able to rejoin that, please? It looks very straight forward if one has the machinery.
Thanks,
Heini
Hi Heini,
We do not have any equipment for repairing frames.
Kind Regards,
H
Do you have car parking?
Hi Ruth,
Yes you can park outside our workshop.

Hanry
Hiya,
I need some help making a road bike a little more comfortable. Main issue is my reach to the breaks (i have very small hands) is over stretched, and going down a steep hill I actually can’t fully stop! As not used to drops I don’t really like using them that much and find them not great for London Traffic. Have thought about cross levers, replacing drops with moustache handle bar or flat handle bar like the Specialized Sirrus. Maybe the breaks just need some adjusting?
Also want to add clip in pedals but as never used them before need some help there too. I have the pedals and shoes ready to go.
Can you help with these issues?
Thanks
Hi Ash,
We can certainly help, we have recently converted a few drop handlebar bikes for customers and they have been very happy with the results, we fitted riser bars and that transforms the riding position, flat bars is another option.
Why not pop into the workshop next week and we can have a chat about this, we can also get your pedals fitted for you.
Regards,
Hanry
